One Year

A little over a week ago was Kylie's one year birthday. She has been a wonderful little girl and we love her to death. Here are a couple pictures of her the day she was born and from a year old. Boy has she grown!

Her stats from her one year doctor's visit were:
  • Weight: 21 lbs 9 oz
  • Length: 30 7/8 in

One of her most favorite things is water. And I mean in all forms. She loved the ocean the first time she got in it and still does (we went for her birthday with both set of grandparents), she loves the pool at our apartment complex, and she even loves the rain.

Next Kylie really loves music whether she is just dancing to it around the house or we are in the car she bounces to the beat. (I really need to get a video of that last one, but there are a few people that can attest for me.)

(WARNING: Her daddy put this song on to see if she would dance to it. Sorry, but we thought it was too funny!)

*Sorry this video is sideways for part of it.*

Kylie has started trying to say a few words. Some that she knows are:

dada
mom
woof
two...I count and she says the second one...really cute
no, a little too well
tickle tickle tickle...in her little girl way
quack
sounded like she said grandpa, (bampa)
meow (ow)
I'm sure there are a few more, but as of right now I can't think of them.

One thing she started doing just the other day was giving us good kisses. She has watched James and I, I guess, and learned how to give us sweet little kisses. She learns so quickly and is a smart little girl. I love all the new things Kylie does every day. I love going in to her room in the mornings and hearing her talking to whatever is in her crib at the time even if it is just her blanket. She brings happiness to our lives and I'm thankful for that.

I can't wait to celebrate another year of new adventures with her! I love you Kylie and so does your Daddy (who is currently studing for a test, but he did put his input in on this post)!

Atlantic Beach

Be sure to check the post before this one!
On Saturday we went to Atlantic Beach. Kylie absolutely loved the ocean! She even got mad when we decided she needed to be done for the day, didn't want her to get too much sun. It was however a perfect day to go to the beach. Nice sunny weather, with a little breeze to keep us cool.

Listen closely in this video, you can hear what sounds like seagulls, but it was actually Kylie squealing.

Strawberries

We took a trip to Grandma and Grandpa Scheller's house this past weekend and took two days to do two different things. This post is for Friday's activities. We picked strawberries, then made strawberry jam. It was a lot of fun and I hope it tastes good too. Kylie ate more than she picked, but she sure did love them! You can see in the video!

Three Years!

Yesterday was our three year anniversary. We weren't planning on doing much because it was a weekday so on Saturday night we had decided to go out to eat, but somewhere cheap. We were in the process of trying to find a kitten for kylie so the less money we spend on dinner the more we would have for the kitten. I told James that while in Idaho I had eaten at a place called Five Guys. It was great for the prices so he agreed if we could find one close we could go. I searched online and found there was one opening close, but not yet open. So I kept looking and found one by our mall. I thought great we know where the mall is and that isn't too far. We started driving and James had gotten the number to call if we couldn't find it. And sure enough we got there and couldn't find it. However the first time he called the number no one answered. So we got ready to leave and James decided to try again. This time there was an answer. Come to find out they are located....are you ready?

IN the food court at the Mall! Needless to say James and I including Kylie ate at a mall food court for our anniversary. It will be one we never forget. However we did decide to get some yummy ice cream while there too! It was fun and memorable!

We really didn't do much for Easter other than look online, well I did, for a kitten for Kylie. It was going to be somewhat an Easter gift/anniversary gift for all of us. Well no luck with anything. However yesterday I looked again and found three little kittens that needed homes. I called the lady and sure enough she had 1 female and 2 males. I wanted the female. She said she would hold onto it until we could pick her up. James got out of class a little early and we drive 45 minutes to get the kitten. Luckily when we got there she said we didn't have to pay $10 that she had put on her listing. Yay for us! So we decided to get some food at the Wendy's we met up with the lady at. James ran inside to find the lady's little girl in side as well. So nice James told her he would buy each of them, the lady, her daughter and son a frosty. So we got a kitten for three small frosties! She is a lot of fun and cute. Kylie loves her too! She follows her everywhere the kitten goes and it tires both out. Which is also nice. We haven't yet decided on a name, but some possible choices are Clora, Flo, Penny, Dory, and Abby. If you have any suggestions let me know! Now here is her picture:

Wedding Time!

Here are pictures that were taken during my brother Michael and sister-in-law Jinger's wedding and reception. The decorating was my mom, dad, and I, but consisted of my mom and I's ideas with imput we had gotten from Jinger. I hope you all enjoy!

SEALING/TEMPLE:

Just after the sealing, they had just come out of the Rexburg Temple.

Most everyone who was at the sealing.

Mike and our cousin Scott.

Mike and his best man, our brother, Adam.

Mike and Jinger. Beautiful flowers!

DECORATIONS (before reception, but not everything was complete):

Gift table

Area where we had pictures of Mike and Jinger as they grew up and also overflow for gift area.

Quilt from my parents(made by Mom, hand quilted by her parents) and painting from Jinger's mom.

Cake table and decorations.

Backdrop for the line. One of my favorite parts. I draped the curtains behind as well as put the greenery and flowers on the top. My parents and a few others helped by standing back and telling me where they thought things should go.

Cake made by our talented Aunt. So many compliments on it.

At the Reception:

Mommy and Kylie. Kylie in her very pretty dress.

Again. Kylie had been there all day while we decorated. She was a trooper, until the reception started when she started crying and screaming. Poor sweet girl. :(

Another of the cake.

Happy Couple!

Mike with sisters and new sister-in-laws. (Me, Celeste (our sister), Jinger, Jeorgette (Jinger's sister), and Michelle (Jinger's sister-in-law)). We however were missing one other.

Three of the grandchildren! Kylie was having so much fun playing ring around the rosie and dancing with the cool lights the DJ had.

NEXT DAY:

Kylie and I the day after. She really did great while we decorated, but she made up for that. She was extremely fussy during church. I did not get to sit through any lesson. We even tried hanging out in the nursery with other kids, but she just wouldn't have it.

Well I hope you all enjoyed the pictures as much as we enjoyed the sealing and reception. We have had fun here so far and are getting ready to go home! We miss Daddy and are ready to play with him. Kylie told me that she is ready with a poopy diaper just for him gloves and all!

White Coat Ceremony

While Kylie and I have been out playing in Idaho, James has become official (as of the 19th)! Yes we missed his White Coat Ceremony, but thankfully he sent me a couple pictures on my phone and a friend of his took some and put the last picture up on facebook. I wish we would have known before I bought my plane ticket, but James had his parents there for the proud moment!

This is the program:

James' official jacket:

Here he is with a couple of friends from his class, Mike and Mike (sorry so small) :

I'm so proud of James for all the hard work he has done to get this far! He is amazing and deserves the best! I know he will continue to work hard and get good grades. I just want him to know that I love him and appriciate all the tough times he has to go through just to provide a great life for our family. I know Kylie loves him too, she is just asleep right now or she would type on this too! Congrats hubby and good luck with your future patients!

One year older and wiser?

So since I was not around today to celebrate my Hubby's Birthday I figured I would write on here. He has to celebrate on his birthday all by himself. Poor guy, he did however go buy a steak to eat and from what I gather he relaxed instead of studied. He is amazing for all he does for Kylie and I. He works hard to get good grades, yet still manages to spend time with the two most important people! He is a great Father and and amazing Husband! He has made me a better person and I just wish I could have made him a BIG birthday cake! Hope you had a Happy Birthday without your two girls! We love you and can't wait to see you when we get home!

P.S. I hope your white coat ceremony is great because unfortunately we will miss that as well! Love you tons!

Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone as well!
